School Employee Arrested for Alleged Distribution of Explicit Images to Minor

An employee of a school district in upstate New York has been charged with a serious offense after allegedly sending explicit photos to a 14-year-old boy over a period of three months. The individual, identified as Anamaria Milazzo, 22, was arrested following a tip to authorities and faces multiple charges, including a felony.

Milazzo, who worked for the Greater Southern Tier Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) in Chemung County, was accused of transmitting lewd images to the minor. Authorities confirmed her arrest occurred shortly after the investigation commenced based on a tip from a school resources officer.

She is charged with second-degree dissemination of indecent material to minors, a felony, as well as endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Despite the felony charge, she was issued a ticket rather than detained and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Milazzo has been dismissed from her position at the school. It remains unclear whether the minor was a student at the same facility where she was employed, and the victim has not been publicly identified.

Officials at GST BOCES confirmed her employment but did not specify her role or the duration of her employment history. The investigation continues as authorities seek further details about the case.
