Man City Star Khiara Keating’s Charges Dropped After Laughing Gas Arrest! Shocking Turn of Events

Court Case Against Man City Player Khiara Keating Dismissed

England goalkeeper and Manchester City player Khiara Keating has had a legal case against her dismissed, nearly a year after she was accused of possessing nitrous oxide, commonly known as ‘laughing gas.’

The 20-year-old athlete was arrested on June 18 last year, following an investigation by Greater Manchester Police, and charged with possession of a Class C drug. She appeared in court alongside her mother, Nicola, who also denied the same allegations. Both were released on unconditional bail.

Recently, police confirmed that the case was discontinued by the Crown Prosecution Service, leading Keating to express relief. She told a media outlet: “It’s been a difficult time, but I’ve known the truth all along. Now I can focus on the upcoming European Championship and spending time with my family.”

The incident involved the possession of canisters of nitrous oxide, which became a regulated Class C drug in November 2023, making inhalation for psychoactive purposes illegal, though legal exceptions still apply in certain situations like medical procedures.

Keating’s recent call-up to the national squad for the European Championship underscores her focus on her football career. She emphasized her innocence and the importance of moving forward without the burden of the earlier allegations.
