Liverpool Do World’s Biggest Deal! £40M for Bournemouth Star Milos Kerkez—Premier League Champions’ Massive Summer Spending

Liverpool Nears £40 Million Transfer for Bournemouth Defender Milos Kerkez

Liverpool are close to finalizing a deal to sign Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez for approximately £40 million. The 21-year-old left-back is scheduled for a medical examination next week as part of a five-year contract agreement.

This potential transfer marks Liverpool’s third signing of the summer, following Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, the latter of whom is expected to join next week.

Kerkez, who previously played for AZ Alkmaar, impressed during his time at Bournemouth last season, featuring in all 38 Premier League matches, providing six assists and scoring twice. His performances have garnered attention from top clubs, but his family has expressed strong loyalty to Liverpool, citing trust in their sporting director.

Kerkez’s father, Sebastijan, confirmed the family’s exclusive intent to choose Liverpool, mentioning that negotiations are nearly complete, with only minor details remaining. The player’s connection to Liverpool is reinforced by Richard Hughes, the club’s sporting director, who previously signed Kerkez for Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, at Liverpool, veteran full-back Andy Robertson’s future remains uncertain, with reports suggesting he might depart for La Liga side Atletico Madrid, who have shown interest. Robertson, whose contract has one year remaining, indicated he still believes he has much to contribute, though negotiations are ongoing.
