Juventus Make Shock Swap Offer for West Ham’s Star Centre-Backs! | Daily Mail

West Ham in Talks with Juventus Over Centre-Back Swap Deal

West Ham and Juventus are apparently negotiating a potential exchange involving two defenders, as both clubs seek to strengthen their defenses this summer.

Juventus has shown interest in Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd, who joined West Ham in 2022 for £30 million. Aguerd, aged 29, made 58 appearances for the Hammers before being loaned out to Real Sociedad for the 2024-25 season. West Ham is open to selling Aguerd but is keen on acquiring Juventus’s Daniele Rugani in return.

Rugani, 30, has been with Juventus since 2012 but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter, spending time on loan at various clubs, including Ajax last season. He is currently part of Juventus’s squad for the Club World Cup but was an unused substitute in their recent 5-0 victory over Al-Ain. Other clubs, such as Bayer Leverkusen and Marseille, are also interested in Rugani, but West Ham prefers a permanent transfer if Aguerd departs.

Aguerd’s future remains uncertain, with Real Sociedad interested in re-signing him on loan, though West Ham favors a permanent transfer if he’s considered surplus to requirements. Juventus is reportedly eager to bring Aguerd to Italy, aiming to address their defensive needs.
