Arsenal Eyeing Premier League Rival’s Star—Could Chelsea and Tottenham Steal the Deal?
Arsenal Considers Signing Another Premier League Star Amid Interest from Chelsea and Tottenham
The Premier League club is assessing the possibility of acquiring Mohammed Kudus, with West Ham also linked as a potential destination. Both Chelsea and Tottenham are monitoring the Ghanaian international’s situation.
Arsenal aims to strengthen their attack during the upcoming summer transfer window, with several forwards being evaluated as potential signings. While Alexander Isak, who plays for Newcastle, was once considered a target for Arsenal, he is expected to remain there for the time being.
The Gunners have also shown interest in Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokores, a prolific scorer keen on moving to the Premier League. However, Sporting Lisbon is reportedly insistent on matching his hefty €100 million (£84 million) release clause to sell him.
Other players linked with Arsenal include RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins. Despite this, the club may turn their focus to domestic talent, as interests from rival Premier League clubs grow for their current forwards.
The club’s manager, Mikel Arteta, is exploring options to boost the squad for the next campaign, with Kudus being a prominent candidate due to his impressive contributions at West Ham this season. The Ghana international scored five goals and provided four assists across 35 appearances, standing out during a challenging campaign.
However, Kudus’s potential transfer is complicated by his significant release clause, which is believed to be around £85 million. Previously linked with moves to Saudi Arabian clubs, his transfer fee remains a barrier for many suitors.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s interest extends to Chelsea’s Noni Madueke, who may fall out of favor at Stamford Bridge as the club continues its summer recruitment drive.
