North Dakota Man Battles for Confiscated Gun After Threatening Feds: Shocking Email Warning!

Man Arrested for Threatening Federal Official and Expressing Violence Intentions

A man from North Dakota has been detained after sending a threatening email to a federal authority, hinting at potential violence against a Minnesota lawmaker and her spouse. The individual also attempted to recover a firearm that had been confiscated by law enforcement.

Charles Dalzell, 46, reportedly sent an email on Sunday to the U.S. District Attorney’s Office, suggesting that he or others might carry out violent acts if the authorities continued to dismiss his concerns. In the message, he referenced recent violent incidents in Minnesota and expressed frustration with the legal system’s handling of his grievances.

Dalzell’s email included a mention of the assassination of a Minnesota state representative and her husband, allegedly committed by an individual dressed as a police officer. Following this, Dalzell visited the sheriff’s office to reclaim his firearm, which had been seized in a previous case involving minors. Authorities subsequently arrested him, and during the search of his property, they found methamphetamine and a machete.

Dalzell has a history of convictions, including disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and domestic violence. He claimed that his firearm was confiscated in connection with an incident where he swore at minors but denied ever brandishing it.

He also previously sent an email in 2024 threatening violence against a lawyer involved in a property dispute, but he insisted he was not making threats and cautioned that those who intended harm would not advertise their plans publicly.

The recent threats have heightened security concerns among politicians nationwide, especially those listed on a purported assault target list related to the Minnesota case.
