The double homicide involved the shooting deaths of Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, after Boelter reportedly shot and wounded State Senator John Hoffman and his wife.

Authorities stated that the home was again examined by crime scene investigators. Although the house appeared to have been searched, the family believes nothing has been stolen.

Police are encouraging neighbors to review their security footage and report any suspicious activity related to the break-in.

Vance Boelter faces federal charges, including stalking and murder, linked to targeting lawmakers and their families in Minnesota. Authorities allege he possessed a cache of automatic weapons and had a list of 45 officials and abortion providers.
