Shock Reminder: Chefs & Food Network Stars Mourn Anne Burrell’s Sudden Passing—Heartbreaking Tribute!

Following the news of Anne Burrell’s sudden passing, numerous Food Network colleagues and renowned chefs expressed their condolences across social media platforms.

Chef Robert Irvine shared his thoughts on Instagram, calling Burrell a “radiant spirit who brightened every space she entered” and reminiscing about their friendly rivalry on “Worst Cooks in America,” which was rooted in mutual respect.

“From the start, our playful competition involved daring wagers—like risking hair bleaching or loss—highlighting her fierce and lively nature. Although I lost that challenge, I wouldn’t have faced anyone more spirited,” Irvine reflected.

Chef Michael Voltaggio paid tribute by sharing a photo of a hand-knit blanket she gifted him after his daughter’s birth, expressing gratitude for her thoughtfulness.

“Thank you for sharing your talents and kindness, Anne. Rest easy,” he wrote, ending with a heart emoji.

Contestant Denise Schroder from “Worst Cooks in America” fondly recalled her experience, especially when Burrell chose her for the red team and brought her cats to meet her. “She had wit and humor, giving me grace when I made mistakes—her support meant the world,” Schroder commented.
