Eric Dane has reportedly found a new romantic connection with director Jannell Shirtcliff, while he continues to contend with his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

An insider shared that the pair has had an on-and-off relationship for over three years and share a close bond. According to “Entertainment Tonight,” Dane asked Jannell to support him through his health challenges, and she has been there for him during this difficult time.

Sources indicate that Dane, 52, and Shirtcliff share a deep connection, and they were seen enjoying a date night at the Chateau Marmont recently.

Meanwhile, Dane’s relationship with his ex-wife, Rebecca Gayheart, whom he married in 2004, has remained friendly despite their separation. They previously filed for divorce in 2018 but withdrew the papers in March, citing his health issues.

Both are co-parenting their daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, and Gayheart has expressed that they have become better friends and parents, with her calling Dane her “biggest champion.” Gayheart also described them as the “best of friends” in April.

In April, Dane publicly disclosed his ALS diagnosis during an interview, sharing his gratitude for his family’s support. Despite his diagnosis, he continued to work on “Euphoria,” filming Season 3 shortly after revealing his condition.

According to the Mayo Clinic, ALS is a nervous system disease characterized by the progressive loss of muscle control. Dane reported experiencing symptoms a year and a half ago, including weakness in his right hand.
