Anne Burrell Secretly Tried Cooking With Meghan Markle Before Her Sudden Death!
Renowned chef Anne Burrell discussed the idea of collaborating in the kitchen with Meghan Markle, just a few weeks before her sudden passing at age 55.
During an April interview, when asked if she’d be interested in appearing on Meghan’s Netflix show “With Love, Meghan,” Burrell expressed enthusiasm.
“Absolutely, I’d gladly attend,” she said. “Why not cook with Meghan?” She also mentioned she hadn’t yet tried Markle’s well-known As Ever fruit spread.
“I’m not really a jam girl,” she added, “but I do make it for my husband sometimes — with scones. Beyond that, I wouldn’t say I’m a jam enthusiast.”
Markle’s lifestyle show, which debuted in March, featured celebrity chefs like Alice Waters and Roy Choi. Burrell was reportedly found unresponsive in her Brooklyn home on Tuesday morning by her husband, Stuart Claxton. Emergency services declared her dead at the scene. The cause remains under investigation, though reports indicate she experienced cardiac arrest prior to her passing.
Sources indicated Burrell was in high spirits recently, having enjoyed an improv show on Monday night. Her last Instagram post on June 12 showed her vibrant and happy, posing with Brooklyn’s Green Lady.
The Food Network issued a statement praising Burrell’s talent and warmth, expressing condolences to her loved ones. Fellow celebrity chef Rachael Ray shared her grief on social media, calling Burrell “truly special” and a “rockstar,” remembering their shared experiences on TV.
