According to reports, Emilie Kiser’s husband explained to investigators that he was “distracted” by their newborn when their 3-year-old son, Trigg, drowned in an uncovered backyard pool.

On May 12, Emilie, a 26-year-old TikTok influencer and mommy blogger, was out with friends when Trigg fell into the family’s pool in Chandler, Arizona. Brady Kiser discovered him unresponsive shortly after.

Brady said he left Trigg playing outside but was “soon distracted” by their infant, losing track of his older son. He then found Trigg floating unconscious in the pool, authorities reported.

Trigg was rushed to Phoenix Children’s Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on May 18.

The Kiser family stated it was common for Trigg to play outside, and they had a cover over the pool — which they admitted they failed to use that day. Authorities are investigating and have requested search warrants for surveillance footage from their home.

Just days before the incident, Emilie shared an emotional Instagram video celebrating motherhood, showing family moments from hospital to home, captioned “Forever grateful to be a momma”.

Following her son’s death, Emilie Kiser filed a lawsuit to keep records, including security footage and autopsy reports, private, claiming she has not reviewed these records and does not intend to do so.

Emilie has garnered significant social media influence, with 3.1 million followers on TikTok and over a million on Instagram.
