Anne Burrell was noticeably absent from her usual role on “Worst Cooks in America” several months before her unexpected passing.
Fans found her absence from the celebrity edition, hosted by chefs Jeff Mauro and Antonia Lofaso, surprising.
Neither Burrell nor the Food Network publicly explained her absence from Season 28. The network did not respond to inquiries from Page Six at the time.
Burrell tragically passed away at her Brooklyn residence on a Tuesday morning, at the age of 55.
