Actress Rumer Willis shared a touching Father’s Day message about her father’s ongoing struggle with dementia. She expressed how difficult the day is for her, feeling a deep emotional ache to connect with her father and share her life.

On Instagram, she wrote, “Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I’m doing and what’s going on in my life.” She also reflected on the importance of asking her father more questions before his speech and memory declined, hinting at the effects of his condition.

Despite the challenges, Rumer expressed gratitude for still being able to embrace her father and share moments. She highlighted how her father’s eyes light up when he sees her 2-year-old daughter, Louetta, adding joy to their lives.

She voiced her gratitude for the moments they still share: hugs, kisses, stories, and cuddles. Rumer also reflected on how fortunate she feels, despite her father’s health issues.

Bruce Willis, 70, was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022 and later revealed in 2023 that he has frontotemporal dementia, affecting speech and behavior. He has three daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore and two more with wife Emma Heming.

Heming, who married Bruce in 2009, regularly shares updates on his condition and the highs and lows of his health journey, maintaining a supportive presence throughout.
