Huma Abedin Stuns in 2 Custom Wedding Dresses for Star-Studded Ceremonies with Alex Soros!
Huma Abedin has tied the knot with Alex Soros!
The wedding took place at Soros’ $14.5 million estate in Southampton, with the bride choosing two custom-made dresses for the weekend celebration.
According to Vogue, the couple organized a two-part ceremony in the Hamptons, honoring both faiths — a Nikah with family and close friends in alignment with Muslim traditions, and a Ketubah reflecting Soros’ Jewish roots.
The bride’s gown for the main event was Givenchy, designed by Sarah Burton, while a more ethereal Erdem dress by Erdem Moralıoğlu was worn during the smaller gathering.
The Givenchy dress, made from ivory silk satin-backed crepe, featured an off-the-shoulder silhouette inspired by Audrey Hepburn, with a detachable belt and a row of covered buttons at the back, as Vogue describes.
Abedin shared, “I can’t get over how light it is,” revealing her initials hidden in the embroidery. “I wanted a dress that my future husband would find extraordinary.” She called her Erdem gown “ethereal” and “unbelievable,” recalling how she fell in love with the label years ago in Washington, DC.
Her designer, Moralıoğlu, recounted the process: “Collaborating was seamless, and the dress epitomizes grace and class—powerful yet understated.”
Abedin also shared that her dress was emotionally personal, as Moralıoğlu embroidered her father’s name in Arabic inside the gown, a tribute to her late father who passed away in 1993.
Page Six reported that Vogue’s Anna Wintour helped select her wedding outfits, highlighting the close friendship between them.
Guests included Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Nicky Hilton, and others, with Hillary encouraging Abedin to have a full wedding rather than elope, saying, “She deserves a grand moment.”
Abedin met Soros in 2023 at a birthday party for Nicky Hilton hosted by Rothschild. Soros proposed in June 2024, and their relationship was publicly revealed on Valentine’s Day that year.
Previously, Abedin was married to Anthony Weiner. Her wedding gown then was an ivory piece with gold accents, custom designed by Oscar de la Renta, who was also a close friend.
