Two of his four children made a rare public appearance in support of him during the ceremony.
Eliana, 23, and his youngest daughter, whose name remains private, appeared in vibrant dresses, displaying smiles for cameras.
Christian Slater, dressed in a suit, expressed heartfelt gratitude during his speech, describing the honor as a “dream come true.”
His older children, Jaden (26) and a newborn (whose name is undisclosed), did not attend the event.
Sarah Michelle Gellar, a close friend and co-star, attended and praised Slater’s enduring talent, saying, “You continue to redefine how we see you.”
During his speech, Slater called the occasion a “once-in-a-lifetime experience” and thanked his loved ones for their support.
Expressing his feelings, Slater shared, “I feel very blessed, grateful, and lucky.”
He was married to Ryan Haddon from 2000 to 2006, with whom he shares his older children. He married Lopez in December 2013, following a proposal during a Maine vacation, and they started their family in 2019.
