Luis Diaz has reportedly informed Liverpool of his intention to depart this summer, following an offer from Bayern Munich. The German giants submitted an initial bid of £58.6 million to sign the Colombian winger, but the club swiftly rejected the proposal.

Liverpool values Diaz at around £86 million but has made it clear they have no plans to sell the 28-year-old, with the valuation primarily for accounting reasons. Diaz’s contract runs until 2027, and he has attracted significant interest from top European clubs this transfer window.

Bayern Munich has been keen to enhance its attacking options, having already missed out on other targets like Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams. The club recently experienced a setback with the long-term injury to Jamal Musiala, adding urgency to their transfer pursuits.

Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 for £37.5 million and has been a key player, making 148 appearances and scoring 41 goals. Last season, he played 50 matches, contributing 13 goals and seven assists, helping Liverpool secure the Premier League title.
