Etsy Teddy Bear Wrapped in Human Skin Fakes Authorities, Creator Deceives with Fake Human Skin

Gruesome Prank: Teddy Bear Wrapped in Simulated Human Skin Discovered in California

A disturbing discovery in California has raised alarms after a teddy bear seemingly wrapped in human skin was found abandoned on a sidewalk. The bizarre find caused concern among residents and prompted an investigation by local authorities, who believe it might be a fabricated prop intended as a prank.

Responding to reports around noon, police arrived at a convenience store on Bear Valley Road in San Bernardino County. There, they found a teddy bear sitting on the pavement, notably lacking soft fur. Instead, the toy’s surface featured what appeared to be stretched, leather-like skin resembling human tissue, with stitched facial features including lips, a nose, and eye sockets, as if surgically attached.

Authorities cordoned off the scene as forensic teams examined the gruesome object. A medical examiner took the bear into custody, but details from the investigation have yet to be released. Meanwhile, online sources suggest that the bear might have been a staged prop or prank material.

An Etsy shop called “DarkSeedCreations,” which specializes in macabre, horror-themed items, claimed responsibility for making the bear. The shop’s owner stated on social media that they crafted the prop and shipped it to a customer in Victorville last week, emphasizing they had no knowledge of its potential use as a prank or for malicious purposes.

The shop sells various unsettling products, such as ties with faces and leather hats, all designed with human-skin motifs. The owner has apparently operated the storefront for eight years, creating original horror-inspired merchandise.
