Deadly Fire at Assisted Living Facility in Massachusetts

A fire at an assisted living residence in Fall River, Massachusetts, resulted in at least nine deaths and left 30 residents hospitalized. The blaze broke out around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Gabriel House Assisted Living Residence, which houses approximately 70 residents.

Five firefighters sustained injuries while working to extinguish the flames. Fire officials confirmed the presence of multiple injuries and fatalities at the scene.

Some of the victims’ bodies remained inside the building on Monday morning, according to the mayor of Fall River. One of the hospitalized individuals is in critical condition.
