Doherty, who passed away at age 53 after a prolonged battle with stage 4 breast cancer on July 13, 2024, was a close friend of Gellar for over three decades. Doherty’s co-star from “Charmed,” Holly Marie Combs, also expressed her condolences, noting that Doherty believed she “had more time” before her demise.
