Tom Homan Blasts California Pot Farm Violence & Dems’ ‘Nazi’ Rhetoric
Violence Erupts During Immigration Enforcement at California Farm
Federal agents conducting a raid at one of Southern California’s largest cannabis farms encountered protesters who violently opposed their presence. The confrontation lasted several hours, with demonstrators throwing rocks and deploying tear gas, leading to multiple injuries and a large police response.
Agents arrived at Glass House Farms in Camarillo after which they found 10 underage migrants, including eight minors without adult supervision. The farm claims compliance with search warrants, but the raid has sparked widespread criticism and protests, including from local officials who were turned away by federal authorities.
During the clash, protestors shouted and threw objects at agents, prompting the use of tear gas and less-lethal rounds. Additionally, a masked individual was seen allegedly firing shots into the crowd, prompting federal authorities to launch an investigation. A reward of up to $50,000 is now offered for information leading to an arrest.
Several protesters were wounded; five were hospitalized, and many others retreated as law enforcement used chemical agents and fired warning rounds. Video footage shows workers being detained, though the exact number of arrests remains unclear.
The raid has drawn sharp criticism from California leaders. Governor Gavin Newsom’s office condemned the actions, emphasizing the negative impact on local communities and farmworker families. They highlighted that the incident exemplifies the destructive consequences of aggressive immigration enforcement tactics.
