10 Migrant Kids Found at California Pot Farm During Child Labor Probe
Illegal Minors Discovered at California Marijuana Farm During Immigration Raid
During a recent immigration enforcement operation, ten minors, most unaccompanied, were found working at a marijuana farm in Southern California. The raid occurred at Glass House Farms, where federal agents encountered the minors, one as young as 14 years old. The operation became chaotic when a protester reportedly discharged a firearm at authorities, prompting a significant law enforcement response.
Homeland Security officials rescued eight of the minors, who had crossed the border alone. Authorities suspect potential violations including child labor laws, exploitation, human trafficking, or smuggling. The incident has sparked a child labor investigation into the farm involved.
The farm’s president, Graham Farrar, has a history of political donations, including contributions to Democratic candidates and committees, and a $10,000 donation to Governor Gavin Newsom in 2018. Glass House Farms stated that they complied with immigration warrants and have never knowingly employed minors, denying allegations of hiring underage workers.
The raid was met with resistance from protesters, who attempted to block access to the farm. Law enforcement ultimately dispersed the crowd using an unknown substance and engaged in a four-hour confrontation. Several individuals were detained, with reports indicating that the farm’s facilities smelled heavily of marijuana as workers were processed.

Glass House Farms emphasized its adherence to legal procedures, stating that it fully cooperated with authorities. The farm’s owner mentioned ongoing concerns and pledged to provide updates as investigations continue.
