Nicole Kidman Embraces Her Natural Curls During Croatian Getaway

The award-winning actress recently took a break in Croatia with her sister and niece, showcasing her authentic look with her natural red curls. In photos shared from the trip, Kidman appeared effortlessly elegant in long, light white dresses alongside her family.

She left behind her signature wigs and heated styling tools, embracing her true hair texture. In a video interview for her May 2025 cover story, Kidman reflected on her earlier decision to straighten her naturally curly hair, which she regrets. She reminisced about her 1990 film Days of Thunder and questioned her past hair choices: “Why did I straighten my hair?”

She encourages young girls to embrace their natural hair, saying, “That is my real hair. Isn’t that wild? Embrace the curl, don’t follow my path and straighten it.”

Although Kidman famously experiments with wigs for different events—such as debuting a bold two-toned pixie at the 2025 Met Gala, which was a wig—she now prefers her authentic look. She recently clarified in an interview that her stunning short hairstyle was indeed a hairpiece, not her real hair, and she remains a proponent of embracing natural beauty.
