Reflecting on their journey, Gwen revealed that their relationship faced challenges early on. They nearly called it quits during the initial phase when their lives were in turmoil. Despite these hardships, their connection persevered.

Gwen and Blake first crossed paths on the set of The Voice in 2014, where their chemistry began to blossom. Gwen shared that at one point early in their relationship, she felt overwhelmed and considered stepping back. She told People in November 2024, “There was a point where I was like, ‘I can’t even talk to you.’ I was like, ‘This is insane. I already have enough problems. This is not happening anymore. We’re not going to text or nothing.’ We had just met, and it was chaos. Both of our lives were in complete turmoil, all over the ground. Nothing could save us at that point.”
