Shocking! Barbara Walters’s Furious Reaction to Joy Behar Spill – You Won’t Believe What Happened!
Joy Behar has had two run-ins with Barbara Walters during her time on “The View.”
During an exclusive chat at the Tribeca Festival afterparty, Behar admitted, “She fired me a couple of times.”
One firing was due to her revealing that Rosie O’Donnell was joining the show, which Walters wanted to announce in secret.
Behar also disclosed that her second departure remains unclear, as she has no idea what caused it. She has been a fixture on “The View” since its 1997 debut, with a brief hiatus before returning in 2015.
Barbara Walters, who created the show, passed away in December 2022 at age 93. Behar recalled that Walters could be generous, often inviting her to dinner parties where she met influential figures like Henry Kissinger and Michael Bloomberg.
She described Walters’ dinner conversations as U.N.-style, where everyone was asked questions like “Who would be the best vice president?”
Walters’ legacy as a pioneering journalist is the focus of the upcoming documentary “Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything,” premiering on Hulu on June 23.
