Chelsea Set Minimum Asking Price for Noni Madueke as Arsenal Near Transfer Agreement

Arsenal are considered the leading candidates to sign Noni Madueke from Chelsea this summer, but the London club remains firm on their valuation. Chelsea are demanding a fee exceeding £50 million, aiming to secure a significant profit on the player they acquired for £26 million from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023.

Madueke, 23, was a regular under Chelsea’s manager Enzo Maresca last season, featuring in 32 out of 38 Premier League matches, with 27 starts, and producing seven goals alongside three assists. However, with new signings such as Liam Delap, Kendry Paez, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, and Willian arriving, Chelsea now has a surplus of players in Madueke’s position.

Reports suggest that Arsenal have already reached a personal agreement with Madueke on a five-year contract extending until June 2030, as confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano. Nevertheless, a formal offer from Arsenal has not yet been accepted by Chelsea.

Chelsea’s current minimum price of £50 million reflects their desire for a lucrative return on their investment. If sold above this threshold, Madueke would yield a substantial profit for the club, having previously signed a lengthy contract upon his arrival.

Madueke is presently in the United States participating in the FIFA Club World Cup, where Chelsea will face Fluminense in the semi-finals. The victor will move on to compete against either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain in the final, with Madueke seeking to add another club honour to his achievements.
