On Wednesday, Carnie Wilson, daughter of Brian Wilson, shared an emotional tribute on social media following his passing at 82. Read her heartfelt message here.
She expressed her profound grief alongside a photo of herself with her father and sister Wendy Wilson, writing, “I have no words to express the sadness I feel right now.”
She wrote, “My Father @brianwilsonlive was every fiber of my being. He will be remembered by millions, and I’m blessed to have had him in my life. Our connection lives on forever.”
Despite feeling an unprecedented pain, Carnie believes her father is “resting in heaven or playing piano for Mom.”
“I love you, Daddy… I already miss you so much,” she concluded emotionally.
His family confirmed his passing Wednesday, just nine days before his birthday, sharing a post on Instagram with a photo of him smiling in a park, captioned, “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved Brian Wilson has passed away. Love & Mercy.”

Brian Wilson’s wife, Melinda Ledbetter, died at age 77 in January 2024. The family later sought conservatorship, as Brian was diagnosed with a “major neurocognitive disorder.”
Founded in 1961, Brian and his band, The Beach Boys, produced iconic hits like “Surfin’ USA,” “California Girls,” and “Good Vibrations.”
He is survived by his seven children. His daughters, Carnie and Wendy, became part of the popular group Wilson Phillips, starting in 1989.
