Kate Beckinsale Risks Life with Dangerous Stunts Despite Injuries on ‘Canary Black’ Set—Shocking Lawsuit Reveals All!
Kate Beckinsale has initiated legal action against the producers of her upcoming 2024 film, “Canary Black.” She alleges that she was subjected to hazardous conditions on set, leading to serious injuries.
Initially filing the complaint under the pseudonym “Jane Doe” in December 2024, Beckinsale amended it in May to include her name. The lawsuit, obtained by Page Six, accuses the production company, Anton Entertainment Media Services, Inc., producer John Zois, and others of negligence, intentional emotional distress, and battery.
Beckinsale alleges she suffered a “meniscus tear” in her knee during shooting in December 2022. Post-surgery, filming was halted for months. When she returned in February 2023, her surgeon advised against performing stunts involving running, jumping, or kicking.
Despite this, she claims the production pressured her into risky scenes, exacerbating her injury. She indicates that unsafe working conditions and disregard for her health caused her additional trauma and injuries.
Despite raising concerns about safety, the film’s producers allegedly continued filming under dangerous circumstances for profit reasons. Beckinsale is seeking damages and a jury trial.
Page Six has contacted the involved parties for comment but has not received responses yet.
