Tr:um:p to Host UFC Fight at White House for America250 Celebration
President Proposes UFC Fight at the White House for America’s 250th Birthday
In a surprising announcement, the President expressed plans to host a UFC fight on the White House lawn within the next year, with up to 25,000 spectators, in celebration of the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
“Does anyone watch UFC? Dana White? We’re going to organize a major UFC bout right there on the White House grounds,” he stated during a speech at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
The idea of a cage match at such a historic site may spark criticism from political opponents, but it also presents an unconventional way for the President to engage with the public.
Trump praised UFC CEO Dana White, highlighting their close relationship and White’s role in organizing the event. “We have the land, and Dana is going to make it happen—it’s going to be a championship fight, with 20,000 to 25,000 people, as part of the ‘250’ celebrations,” he said.
Trump, who has a history of attending UFC events, reiterated his plans to hold diverse celebrations across national parks, battlefields, and historic sites nationwide to mark America’s 250th anniversary. He also hinted at hosting a patriotic festival on the National Mall, showcasing exhibits from all 50 states.
Other planned events include the opening of the National Garden of American Heroes, featuring statues of America’s most renowned figures, and the Patriot Games—an athletic competition for top high school athletes from every state.
“Exactly one year from now, we will celebrate the 250th anniversary with a grand birthday celebration unlike anything before,” Trump declared. “Together, we will make this the greatest year in our country’s history.”
Additionally, New York City will host Sail4th 250, a six-day event featuring tall ships from various countries, air shows, rare historical exhibits, and more to commemorate the occasion.
