Friend of Caitlyn Jenner Dies in ATV Accident Near Malibu
Sophia Hutchins, a close confidant and former manager of Caitlyn Jenner, was killed in a tragic ATV crash close to Jenner’s Malibu residence. The 29-year-old was riding her quad bike on a nearby road when she collided with a moving vehicle, according to police and family sources.
The collision caused Hutchins to be ejected from her quad, plunging her down a 350-foot ravine. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other injuries were reported. The circumstances of Jenner’s whereabouts during the incident remain unclear.
Hutchins was born in Bellevue, Washington, and graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in economics and finance. She publicly credited Caitlyn Jenner as inspiring her gender transition in 2016, expressing that Jenner’s coming-out interview helped her realize it was okay to live authentically. After college, Hutchins founded the sunscreen company Lumasol and later took on the role of Jenner’s manager.
The two first met through a mutual hairstylist and quickly developed a strong friendship. Hutchins was featured in several episodes of Jenner’s documentary series “I am Cait,” which chronicled her life after transitioning. The friendship extended to social settings, with both attending high-profile events including the Vanity Fair Oscar party and the Elton John AIDS Foundation Gala.
Hutchins actively supported political campaigns, notably serving as a surrogate for President Donald Trump’s 2024 bid. She posted photos with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and expressed her unwavering support for his movement to “Save America.”
Her influence was also felt in the LGBTQ+ community, having spoken about how Jenner’s openness helped her accept her identity. Hutchins was involved in several public appearances alongside Jenner, including the inauguration festivities in Washington, D.C., just months before her untimely death.
The loss of Hutchins marks a significant moment for her friends, family, and fans, highlighting her impactful life and the tragedy of her sudden passing.
