New Jersey Man Ishaan Sharma Gets Beaten After Fight on Frontier Flight

Passenger Gets Black Eye After Unprovoked Fight on Flight

A passenger from New Jersey ended up with a severe black eye after an altercation mid-flight, which quickly turned physical. Ishaan Sharma, 21, reportedly attacked another passenger, Keanu Evans, while approaching Miami-Dade International Airport on a Frontier Airlines flight from Philadelphia.

Before the fight, Evans claimed Sharma was muttering strange words and making threats, saying, “If you challenge me, it will result in your death,” while laughing darkly. The situation escalated when Sharma became angry after Evans pressed the call button for help.

A video online shows Sharma standing over Evans and grabbing his throat, but the victim responded aggressively, defending himself with punches. Fellow passengers pleaded with Evans to stop, with one shouting, “Let him go! Stop, let him go.”

Evans sustained a few scratches but expressed regret about having to defend himself during the incident. Sharma was taken into custody upon landing and faces charges of battery. His attorneys claimed he was meditating at the time, a practice which allegedly annoyed Evans.

Evans, the victim, expressed regret over the confrontation, saying he did what was necessary to protect himself.

Sharma’s legal team argued he was engaging in meditation and that Evans was upset by it, though authorities confirmed Sharma was charged with battery. The incident highlights how quickly conflicts can escalate in the confined space of an airplane.
