Employee in California 7-Eleven Leaves Brain-Dead After Violent Attack

A 24-year-old employee at a Los Angeles 7-Eleven has died after sustaining severe injuries during a brutal assault at her workplace. Jessica McLaughlin was attacked on June 24 after an argument with her female manager, who remains at large.

During the attack, the assailant pulled McLaughlin’s hair and sat on her upper body with full weight, obstructing her breathing. Witnesses and fellow employees attempted to intervene and free her but faced threats from the attacker. The manager allegedly fled to the back office and attempted to erase security footage of the incident.

McLaughlin collapsed while trying to escape and was rushed to Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. Medical staff declared her brain-dead due to oxygen deprivation. Her family decided to remove her from life support, and she passed away on Wednesday.
