Charlize Theron Shares Her Experience with a Recent Intimate Encounter

During an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Charlize Theron opened up about her personal sex life, revealing she recently had a “f–king amazing” one-night stand with a 26-year-old.

Prefacing her story, Theron explained, “I’ve probably had only three one-night stands in my entire life. But this recent experience with a 26-year-old was truly incredible.” She added, “I found this new sense of freedom in my 40s that allowed me to have this rare encounter.” She reflected, “I don’t do many of these, so when I do, I think, ‘I should have done this in my 20s.’”

The actress shared that balancing her love life with being a single mother is challenging. “Who has time for dates, shaving, waxing, and makeup? I have two children who need to go to school,” she said. Theron adopted her children — Jackson, who is transgender, in 2012, and August, in 2015 — and often keeps her romantic life private. Recently, she was linked to model Alex Dimitrijevic, though they reportedly parted ways in late 2024.

Theron noted that when she wants a hookup, scheduling is essential because of her busy schedule: “It’s all on a timer. Do you need me to send a call time? I only have two hours, so what’s happening? I need to know.”

She also joked about the difficulty of dating as a parent, questioning, “Who has time for dates and grooming? Plus, I have kids to care for.”

Theron’s previous relationship with Sean Penn from 2013 to 2015 was highly publicized, with reports of a secret engagement. However, she clarified in a 2020 interview that she never intended to marry Penn, describing their relationship as exclusive but brief. Before Penn, she dated actors Craig Bierko and Stuart Townsend, as well as musician Stephan Jenkins.
