Glen Powell’s Ex Gigi Paris Blasts Actor & Sydney Sweeney Over Shock Romance ‘PR Scheme’!
Glen Powell’s former partner was deeply upset by rumors linking him to Sydney Sweeney.
In her participation on the “Too Much” podcast, Paris shared her decision to end their three-year relationship after spotting Powell and Sweeney on set behaving flirtatiously during the filming of their 2023 romcom.
“I had to choose: either pretend everything was fine or face the questions and rumors,” she explained. “I decided it was best to walk away rather than be part of a charade.”
Paris said she was heartbroken upon hearing the rumors about Sweeney and Powell’s alleged romance.
“I just wanted respect, especially if it’s going public,” she stated. “Don’t embarrass me or make a fool of our relationship, which lasted over three years. Show some decency.”
She criticized Powell for not denying the rumors.
“All that was needed was for him to publicly say, ‘I would never cheat on my girlfriend,’ but he chose silence. That hurt,” she explained.
Paris suggested that Powell and Sweeney used the gossip for publicity related to their movie, especially since they later claimed it was all orchestrated as part of a PR strategy.
While acknowledging Powell’s focus on work, Paris felt overwhelmed and decided to leave the relationship.
“The way it was handled was hurtful. I felt discarded,” she shared.
Reflecting humorously, she said she hoped Powell and Sweeney would end up together, just to see the relationship work out—a sentiment shared by many fans.
Paris revealed Powell ended their relationship via a phone call while he was in Australia shooting a movie, right amidst the mounting rumors about Sweeney.
“He called me just before I was set to fly to Australia, telling me I shouldn’t visit because of the rumors,” she said. “That was the moment I realized it was over.”
After that call, Paris said she knew their relationship was finished. “I thought we had hope, but that call confirmed it was done,” she recalled.
Powell and Sweeney’s relationship rumors started circulating after they were photographed displaying affection on set.
