Is Your State Truly Patriotic? Find Out How It Ranks Ahead of the 4th of July!

State-by-State Patriotism Rankings Revealed

As the Fourth of July approaches, recent data highlights significant variations in patriotic sentiment across states. A new report evaluated multiple indicators such as military service participation and voter engagement to determine regional patriotism levels.

New York ranks as the second least patriotic state nationally, trailing only Arkansas. The state scored poorly in military veteran representation, with just one-third of Alaska’s veteran per capita rate. Additionally, New York’s voting turnout in the recent presidential election was notably low, placing it 44th among all states.

Despite its cultural diversity, New York’s civic engagement leaves much to be desired, with voter participation being among the lowest in the country. Conversely, Virginia emerged as the most patriotic state, bolstered by its military presence, including the Pentagon, CIA headquarters, and Arlington National Cemetery, and its proximity to Washington, D.C.

Other factors assessed included civics education, jury duty participation, and volunteering rates. The comprehensive rankings shed light on varying levels of national pride, civic duty, and historical engagement across the United States.
