Katy Perry experienced a frightening incident when a fan managed to bypass security during her Sydney concert and rushed onto the stage.

Shocking footage on X shows a man running up and wrapping his arm around her, catching her off guard. Perry quickly reacted with a surprised yelp, making a face as she spun away from him.

The intruder then danced around, doing the Fortnite dance, before security personnel quickly removed him from the stage.

Perry attempted to continue her performance of “Hot N Cold,” while her band played on, though she paused briefly to address the incident.

She told the audience, “There’s never going to be another show like this, so just enjoy it, Sydney.”

Currently touring for her “Lifetimes” tour, Perry has faced harsh criticism for her choreography, outfits, and singing, which she addressed in a message to her fans.

Despite the backlash, Perry shared a positive message, saying, “Please know I am okay, I have done a lot of work around knowing who I am, what is real, and what’s important to me,” on her Instagram.

She added, “My therapist said, ‘no one can make you believe something about yourself that you don’t already believe,’ and I take that to heart.”

She acknowledged the online negativity, noting, “When the internet tries to make me a human piñata, I don’t let it get to me,” emphasizing her focus on her well-being amidst the criticism.
