Non-League Football Manager Banned for 6 Games After Shocking Sexist Joke!
Non-League Football Manager Suspended for Sexist Remarks on Podcast
The manager of Dorking Wanderers, Marc White, has been handed a six-match ban from the touchline following controversial comments made during a podcast appearance.
While discussing his disciplinary history, White remarked, “More women refs now, so you have to show a bit more respect, you know? Like helping them park.”
White, who also owns Dorking and founded the club in 1999, was previously charged by the FA for using insulting or abusive language. The FA categorized his comments as an aggravated breach due to their gender-related nature.
Dorking confirmed that White will not be permitted to be on the sideline during the first six games of the upcoming National League South season.
White, who also owns Dorking, received the suspension following remarks made on a podcast.
White, who established the club nearly 25 years ago, has played a pivotal role in its development and success, including 12 promotions over his tenure.
A statement from Dorking stated: “Following comments made on a podcast regarding women drivers, manager Marc White has received a six-game suspension, effective from the start of the season.”
White made the remarks prior to a match last season that Dorking lost 3-1 to Weston-super-Mare. The 51-year-old has overseen over a thousand matches and has been instrumental in the club’s rise through the leagues, including a recent appearance in the National League South playoff final.
