In an interview, Sánchez revealed she carried a special souvenir from the space flight to gift to Bezos, describing the experience as profoundly life-changing. “Seeing Earth from space is one of the most incredible moments I’ve ever had,” she said. “It’s brought me a new perspective on life, both visually and spiritually.”

This intense experience influenced her choice of wedding attire. Her striking high-neck lace gown by Dolce & Gabbana was inspired by Sophia Loren’s wedding dress in the 1958 film “Houseboat,” reflecting a departure from her usual modern style. Sánchez explained, “It symbolizes a moment, a feeling, and represents how I’ve grown over the past five years.”

She described her relationship with Bezos as empowering, saying he makes her feel “unapologetically free,” and credits her personal transformation to him. “He’s revealed the best version of myself,” Sánchez shared, adding that their daily routine involves working out together every morning, starting with coffee and conversation before hitting the gym.

Leading up to her wedding, Sánchez lost three and a half pounds by avoiding alcohol, reducing salt intake, and exercising daily. She emphasized that her physical and emotional changes stem from her relationship, not just external efforts.

The ceremony took place in Venice, Italy, and she quickly changed her Instagram handle to Lauren Sánchez Bezos, removing her previous posts to focus on the new chapter. Despite some online mockery of her space flight from celebrities like Jessica Chastain and Olivia Wilde, Sánchez defended the mission, praising the dedication of Blue Origin’s employees. “I want people to see the hardworking team behind this incredible achievement,” she stated.
