Charlie Woods secured a second consecutive appearance at the U.S. Junior Amateur after winning a three-player playoff at Eagle Trace Golf Club in Coral Springs, Florida. He shot a 1-under-par 71 in regulation, but a bogey on his final hole resulted in a tie with Oscar Crowe and Matthew Marigliano, leading to the playoff.

Five players earned direct qualification spots, with Arth Sinha, Lucas Gimenez, Wylie Inman, and Sohan Patel finishing top of the field. Crowe and Marigliano were named alternates for the upcoming tournament, scheduled for July 21–26 at Trinity Forest in Dallas.

Upcoming competition will include a 36-hole stroke-play qualifier featuring 264 players, with the top 64 advancing to match play.

Starting on the 10th hole, Woods navigated a promising round, reaching 3-under through eight holes before a bogey on the 18th. He maintained steady play with six pars in a row before finishing with a bogey, birdie, and bogey, which pushed him into the playoff for the final qualifying spot.

Woods had previously missed the cut in his debut at the U.S. Junior Amateur last year at Oakland Hills. His father, Tiger Woods, is a legendary golfer with three U.S. Junior Amateur titles, three U.S. Amateur titles, and an impressive professional career that includes 15 majors and 82 PGA Tour wins.

Recently, Woods claimed his first junior tournament victory at the Team TaylorMade Invitational in Florida, competing against some of the top-ranked junior players in the country, including No. 1 Miles Russell. Over three rounds, he finished with a total score of 15-under-par, displaying his ability to compete with older players and college-bound talents through aggressive play and strategic shot-making.

His performance, including 25 birdies and an eagle, underscored his potential and confidence, even with a few mistakes along the way. These achievements mark a significant step in his emerging golf career, especially as college coaches now have the authority to contact him directly, increasing the sport’s spotlight on his future endeavors.
