As his popularity skyrockets, Riley Green admits that fame comes with its downsides. The country singer, who recently achieved his first solo number-one hit with “Worst Way,” has become a household name but finds the attention overwhelming at times.

Green rose to fame through collaborations with Ella Langley, notably “You Look Like You Love Me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do,” which fueled online speculation about their relationship. Despite his success, he confesses to missing the simplicity of being an ordinary person.

During an appearance on Country Countdown USA, Green expressed that while fame has its perks, it’s not his favorite aspect of the industry. “It’s not my favorite part of the industry. I miss being a regular guy. But it’s a small price to pay for the opportunities I’ve gotten.”

In pursuit of a quieter lifestyle, Green has put his Nashville home up for sale and plans to move further outside the city. He shares his enthusiasm for land and a slower pace of life, saying, “I’m buying another place further out of town, and the neighbors are further away. I’m getting more land.”

Interestingly, Green has found a way to briefly escape recognition—by shaving his mustache. He admits that losing his facial hair made it easier to walk around unnoticed but jokes that he might have to grow it back, knowing it will restore his celebrity recognition.

With a new mustache possibly on the horizon, Green’s fans, especially the ladies, are eager to see his new look. Despite the challenges of fame, he remains grateful for his journey and keeps his sights on a balanced life.
