Riley Green Reveals His Secret Dream: Wanting to Be a “Normal Guy” – You Won’t Believe What He Said!
Riley Green Opens Up About the Challenges of Fame
As Riley Green’s popularity soars in the country music scene, he’s sharing some of the personal struggles that come with fame. The Alabama native has gained widespread recognition through his collaborations with Ella Langley, with hits like “You Look Like You Love Me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do” boosting his mainstream profile. His solo success continued with “Worst Way,” which became his first chart-topping hit on country radio and was notably written solely by him, adding to his pride.
However, with newfound fame, Green finds it challenging to enjoy everyday life without being recognized. During a recent appearance on Country Countdown USA, he admitted, “It’s not my favorite part of the industry. I miss being a regular guy. But it’s a small price to pay for the opportunities I’ve gotten.”
To escape the frequent recognition, Green is selling his Nashville home and relocating further out of town, seeking a quieter lifestyle on more land. He explained, “I’m buying another place further out of town, and the neighbors are further away. I’m getting more land.” Although he isn’t leaving Nashville permanently, he values the slower pace and space that the move provides.
Interestingly, Green discovered a way to temporarily blend back into anonymity—by shaving his mustache. “I hurt a lot of people’s feelings when I’ve shaved my mustache off. Luckily, I can walk around unnoticed now, which is a nice break.” He’s already planning to grow it back, despite knowing it will bring more recognition.
Fans will be glad to hear the singer’s returning to his signature look, bringing a dash of normalcy amidst his busy career. To get a taste of his work, check out his chart-topping single, “Worst Way.”
