Jeff Bezos Arrives in Venice Ahead of Wedding

Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was seen leaving the Aman Venice hotel in Venice, Italy, on Friday, days before his wedding to Lauren Sánchez. Dressed in a traditional tuxedo, he appeared cheerful as he boarded a water taxi, waving to photographers.

He was accompanied by his half-sister, Christina, and his half-brother, Mark. The couple is scheduled to wed in front of approximately 200 guests, including notable figures such as members of the Trump family, Kardashians, Jenners, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bill Gates, Barbara Streisand, and Orlando Bloom. Notably absent is Katy Perry.

The wedding is expected to cost around $50 million over three days, despite Bezos and Sánchez being already legally married. The celebrations included a welcome party at the Madonna dell’Orto church, which was cut short due to a thunderstorm, and a pre-wedding foam party on Bezos’ $500 million yacht, Koru. Bezos also gifted Sánchez a multimillion-dollar diamond necklace and matching earrings as part of the festivities.

In the days leading up to the wedding, Bezos and Sánchez donated to various Venetian charities and sourced almost all wedding supplies locally. The couple started dating in 2019 but kept a low profile until after both their divorces were finalized.

Sánchez, previously married to Patrick Whitesell with whom she shares two children, and Bezos, who has four children with MacKenzie Scott, will exchange vows in a private ceremony in front of their close friends and family.
