The highly anticipated wedding of Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos took place in Italy, with an estimated cost of $50 million. While Anna Wintour, a longtime fashion icon and former Vogue editor-in-chief, was not physically present, she played a significant role in selecting Sánchez’s wedding gown, according to sources.

Sánchez, aged 55, will wear a Dolce & Gabbana dress for the ceremony, set to take place on Friday. Wintour, who recently stepped down from her role after 37 years, was involved in advising her on the final decision regarding her attire. Sánchez reportedly chose a designer she has maintained a long-standing relationship with over the years. Bezos, 61, will complement her in a tuxedo from an esteemed Italian brand.

Since arriving, Sánchez has impressed in multiple stylish ensembles, including a waist-enhancing Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown during her welcome dinner. She also dazzled in a tulip dress by Alaïa and a bedazzled black Alexander McQueen outfit.

Despite Sánchez and Bezos’s previous legal marriage in the U.S., they are scheduled to wed in Italy on Friday night amid a luxurious celebration that is expected to attract many celebrities. Guests at the star-studded event include prominent figures like Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, the Kardashians, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Oprah Winfrey, and Diane von Furstenberg. Orlando Bloom, who recently split from Katy Perry, is also in attendance, with Sánchez sending love messages to her friend Katy Perry on social media.

Although Wintour was invited, she is traveling this month and will not attend the ceremony in person. However, the wedding’s coverage is expected to be featured in some capacity within Vogue.
