Ronald Fenty, the father of singer Rihanna, passed away on May 31 at the age of 70. The official cause of death included acute respiratory failure, pancreatic cancer, and aspiration pneumonia, according to his death certificate and reports.

Additionally, the certificate listed acute renal failure and acute tubular necrosis, indicating severe kidney damage. Aspiration pneumonia is a bacterial lung infection, often resulting from inhaling food or liquids into the lungs. The kidney issues reflect critical health complications—conditions outlined by the Cleveland Clinic.

The singer Rihanna, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was believed to have been by her father’s side around the time of his death. In photos from May, her brother Rajad Fenty was seen visiting their father at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Rihanna was likely in the car nearby, though not visible in the images.

Historically, Rihanna and her father shared a strained relationship, troubled by his struggles with alcohol and drugs. Their relationship was marked by ups and downs, with periods of reconciliation.
