West Ham Battles Premier Rivals for £25m Nice Striker — Shocking Transfer Twist!
West Ham Enters Battle for Nice Striker Evann Guessand Amid Transfer Competition
West Ham is preparing to compete with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signature of Nice forward Evann Guessand. The Premier League clubs are eyeing the 23-year-old Ivory Coast international, who scored 13 goals last season as Nice finished fourth in France’s Ligue 1.
Wolves are reportedly preparing a bid for Guessand, who is seen by manager Vitor Pereira as a key part of his squad rebuilding plans. West Ham also remain interested, with the player under contract for three more years and an asking price estimated at £20-25 million.
Nice had previously resisted selling Guessand in January, as they aimed for a Champions League spot. Their willingness to part with the player now could be influenced by Wolves’ impending sale of Matheus Cunha to Manchester United for around £62.5 million, providing funds for transfers.
Both West Ham boss Graham Potter and Wolves manager Vitor Pereira are attracted to Guessand, who has been considered a promising talent at Nice. The club is committed to spending around £23 million to make Jorgen Strand Larsen’s move from Celta Vigo permanent, but additional funds remain available for new signings.
West Ham is also focused on improving their attack, especially with Michail Antonio, who recently returned from injury, approaching the end of his contract. The club is open to offers for other forwards like Mohammed Kudus and Niclas Fullkrug to help revamp the squad ahead of the new season.
Striker Evann Guessand remains a target for both West Ham and Wolves in the ongoing transfer battle.
