Shocking! Customer Pulls a Live Boa Constrictor Out from Under McDonald’s Drive-Thru!

Exotic Boa Constrictor Rescued from a Drive-Thru in North Carolina

During a weekend visit to a McDonald’s in Cary, North Carolina, a couple discovered a large exotic snake under the drive-thru window. They quickly contacted local snake catcher Talena Chavis, known as the NC Snake Catcher, who responded promptly to the scene.

The callers explained that a previous customer had removed the snake from beneath the delivery window and placed it nearby in a box. Believing it was a python, they hoped for help. Chavis and her husband arrived and carefully examined the snake, which was not a python but a boa constrictor, measuring just under four feet.

Chavis noted that this was her first call involving a boa constrictor in nine years of her career. The snake appeared healthy and docile, indicating it likely hadn’t been in the wild for long, and was probably abandoned or lost by someone no longer in the area.

The couple had initially tried contacting local animal control, but they only handle domestic animals, leaving the snake’s fate uncertain until Chavis arrived. The snake’s owner did not come forward after several days, so the snake will be adopted by a staff member of NC Snake Catcher.

Chavis expressed gratitude for the couple’s quick actions, emphasizing that their intervention was crucial in ensuring the snake’s safety. “They were the guardian angels that saved that snake,” she said. The boa is believed to be female, and her rescue highlights the importance of timely intervention in wildlife emergencies.
