Todd and Julie Chrisley’s SHOCKING Reactions to Their Prison Pardons! You Won’t Believe What Happened!
Julie and Todd Chrisley React Differently to Presidential Pardons
The Chrisley couple recently opened up about their first reactions to receiving presidential pardons after being convicted of federal charges. Julie Chrisley described her emotional response, revealing she was overwhelmed to the point of tears when her daughter Savannah called to tell her about the pardon:
“I was so nervous I just hung up,” Julie shared in a preview clip for an upcoming interview. “Most of prison news is bad news, so it was the craziest thing.”
She added, “I just hung up on Savannah and went into my dorm… a correctional officer came in and asked, ‘You good?’ I responded, ‘As good as I can be!’ Then he told me, ‘Todd, you just got pardoned.’ It was the most surreal moment.”
Meanwhile, Todd Chrisley shared his surprise upon hearing about his pardon. He was told by a fellow inmate, whom he initially didn’t believe, and recounted feeling grateful and “great” after being informed:
“God led the people to advocate for us,” he expressed. “Every night I prayed God would return me to my family, and He did. I’m thankful and feel blessed to be free.”
Julie spent her prison time at the Federal Medical Center in Kentucky, while Todd was incarcerated at a Federal Prison Camp in Florida. The couple was convicted of tax fraud and bank fraud in 2022, with sentences of seven and 12 years respectively, but were granted pardons last month.
Following their release, Savannah shared a video showcasing her “jacked” dad and posted photos of their reunion, reflecting their joy and relief after the long ordeal.
