Dermot Mulroney Announces Shocking Divorce After 14 Years of Marriage!
Actor Dermot Mulroney and singer Prima Apollinaare Split After 14 Years of Marriage
Dermot Mulroney has filed for divorce from Prima Apollinaare (born Tharita Cesaroni) in Los Angeles. The actor cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup, with the official separation date to be determined. Mulroney, 61, requested that the court end spousal support for Apollinaare, 52.
The couple, who wed in 2008 following Mulroney’s previous marriage to Catherine Keener, shares two daughters: Mabel, 17, and Sally, 15. Details surrounding child custody and support arrangements have yet to be decided. Neither party immediately responded to requests for comment.
Mulroney previously acknowledged that his marriage to Apollinaare happened quickly, saying in a 2012 interview that “a lot of it doesn’t make sense, but you can’t deny your heart.” The pair often supported each other’s careers, with Apollinaare expressing her admiration for her husband’s film work publicly, including his 2023 horror film “Scream VI.”
In recent appearances, Mulroney and Apollinaare have shared moments at events, including a performance of “Island in the Stream” on a game show, which Mulroney described as reflective of their close-knit, musical family bond.
