Man United’s £60M+ Bid for Brentford Star Bryan Mbeumo — Will They Seal the Deal?

Manchester United Make Second Bid Over £60 Million for Brentford Forward Bryan Mbeumo

Manchester United has submitted a renewed offer exceeding £60 million for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. This comes after an initial bid of £55 million was rejected earlier this month.

Mbeumo, who scored 20 Premier League goals last season, has been a top target for United’s staff, especially under the guidance of Ruben Amorim. The club is eager to finalize the deal before the start of their pre-season training, which begins the week of July 7, as they seek to strengthen their attacking options.

Last season, United struggled for goals, scoring just 44 in the league—one of the lowest totals among non-relegated teams. Since transferring to Brentford for around £5.8 million, Mbeumo has netted 70 goals across 242 appearances, including 42 in 136 Premier League matches. The 25-year-old’s contract runs until next year, but Brentford has an option to extend it by a year.

If successfully acquired, Mbeumo would be United’s second signing of the summer, following the move for Matheus Cunha, who arrived for £62.5 million. The club has not commented publicly on the latest bid.
