Wrexham’s Bold Transfer Move: Ian Rush’s Great Nephew & Liverpool Starset to Shake Up the Summer!

Wrexham Planning Loan Move for Liverpool’s Owen Beck in Summer Transfer Campaign

Wrexham is aiming to secure Owen Beck on loan this summer as part of its strategic transfer plans following its recent promotion to the second tier. Beck, a talented full-back, caught attention last season during a loan spell at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, where he made 24 league appearances and netted once.

Interest in the young Welsh international, who plays for Wales at the Under-21 level, has surged, with numerous clubs across the Premier League, Championship, and Scotland expressing their eagerness to acquire him. Liverpool has received many inquiries about his availability, but the club is cautiously assessing the situation before making a decision.

Wrexham, backed by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, is particularly keen on bringing Beck in on loan, especially since he has roots in the North Wales area, and his great-uncle Ian Rush also played there. The club’s manager, Phil Parkinson, indicated that the club is exploring options within the loan market, aiming to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

However, recent significant signings, such as Milos Kerkez’s £40 million transfer from Bournemouth, may limit Beck’s chances to break into Liverpool’s first team, adding to Wrexham’s interest in acquiring him. The club believes that securing quality loan players will improve their squad strength and pre-season preparations.

So far, Wrexham’s transfer activity includes the signing of striker Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle for around £600,000. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s defender Nat Phillips is close to a permanent move to West Bromwich Albion.
