Texas Whataburger Brawl: 7 Fight After Order Mix-Up

Food Order Dispute Leads to Violence at Texas Fast Food Restaurant

A disagreement over a food order at a Whataburger in San Antonio escalated into a brutal fight among seven individuals last week, according to authorities and video footage.

Responding to the disturbance shortly after 3 a.m., police found two groups engaged in physical altercations. A viral video shows multiple scuffles where patrons are seen punching and kicking each other, with bloodstains visible across the restaurant’s booths and floor.

The incident began when mistaken orders were brought to the wrong customers. The staff allegedly told the affected customers that their food belonged to others, provoking frustration. According to a mother who posted on social media, her son and his friends confronted the other customers, and what started as a misunderstanding quickly turned violent.

Severe injuries were not reported, but seven individuals were detained and charged with assault causing bodily harm. The suspects include Andres Garcia Cardenas, 21; Tyrone Tolliver, 21; Miguel Torres, 57; Meili Torres, 21; Andrew Lopez, 21; Deontae Tolliver, 23; and Veronica Valdez, 53. Additional people involved were identified as two 18-year-olds and two 20-year-olds from one group.

An eyewitness, the mother of one of the involved teens, expressed her dismay: “There is no justification for what happened. This never should have gotten so out of hand.” She stated the fight was triggered by a staff error and poor handling of the situation.

Authorities confirmed that the video evidence is part of their ongoing investigation. Despite the chaos, no serious injuries were reported, and officials emphasized the incident remains under review.

The restaurant, police, and the involved family have not yet issued further comments on the matter.
